ScratchandRent.com is not a walk-in retail storefront. All rentals are fulfilled via scheduled delivery or Authorized Pickup Facilities.

2. Rental Services

ScratchandRent.com provides short-term equipment and product rentals. Fulfillment methods may include:

  • Scheduled delivery (when available at time of reservation)
  • Pickup at an Authorized Pickup Facility
  • Secure locker pickup at a designated partner location

Availability of delivery or specific pickup options is determined at the time of reservation.

3. Reservations and Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to decline or cancel reservations due to:

  • Product unavailability
  • Safety concerns
  • Suspected fraud
  • Violation of these Terms

4. Rental Period and Returns

The rental period begins at the scheduled pickup or delivery time. Items must be returned:

  • To the designated Authorized Pickup Facility or return location
  • By the agreed return time
  • In the same condition as received, excluding normal wear

5. Cleaning and Repacking Fees

All rental items must be returned clean and properly packed. Cleaning and repacking fees apply to all rentals, with a minimum fee of $25 per rental.

6. Rental Protection Plan (RPP)

Customers may purchase the optional Rental Protection Plan (RPP) for 10% of the total rental fee. Coverage details are available on the Rental Protection Plan page.

7. SMS Communications Consent

By providing your phone number during booking, registration, or communication with ScratchandRent.com, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your rental transaction or customer service inquiries.

These communications may include:

  • Reservation confirmations
  • Pickup or delivery instructions
  • Return reminders
  • Customer service responses
  • Operational updates related to your booking

Message frequency may vary.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying:

  • STOP to unsubscribe
  • HELP for assistance

Standard message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive SMS communications is not required as a condition of purchasing our rental services, but certain operational notifications may require phone contact.

8. Acceptable Use of Communications

Customers agree not to misuse messaging systems, automated chat tools, or communication channels used by ScratchandRent.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

ScratchandRent.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, business interruption, or personal injury resulting from misuse of rented equipment.

10. Chargebacks and Disputes

By completing a reservation, you agree to contact us directly to resolve concerns before initiating a payment dispute. Documentation including booking records, delivery confirmations, and communication logs may be used in responding to disputes.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
