How much does the Rental Protection Plan cost?

The Rental Protection Plan costs 10% of rental fees, with a $10 minimum. This covers up to $250 in qualifying damage.

What does the Rental Protection Plan include?

The rental protection plan covers damages to rental items up to $250. This includes things like broken glasses, dents, scratches or other physical damage. Any damaged items must be returned to qualify for the damage protection. Missing items will be considered a non-return and will be charged full retail value of missing items as well as a $10 restocking fee.

What if something is damaged or missing?

Rentals are the responsibility of the renter. We do offer a Rental Protection Plan damage waiver that coves most damage that might reasonably occur. Find out more here.

What is NOT covered by the rental protection plan?

Missing items: Missing items will be charged full retail replacement value plus a $10 restocking fee. Any damaged items must be returned to qualify. Uncleaned or improperly packed rental returns are not covered. Rental items requiring cleaning or extra repacking will be charged a fee accordingly. Intentional vandalism or damage. is not covered.

Rental Protection Plan (RPP)

1. Overview

The Rental Protection Plan (RPP) is an optional coverage that protects against qualifying accidental damage to rental items. The Rental Protection Plan costs 10% of rental fees, with a $10 minimum. The Rental Protection Plan covers up to $250 in qualifying damage.

2. What is Covered

The RPP covers accidental damage to rental items, including but not limited to:

Breakage, dents, scratches, or other physical damage
Damage occurring during pickup from an Authorized Pickup Facility

All damaged items must be returned to qualify for coverage.

3. What is NOT Covered

The following are excluded from coverage:

Missing items: full replacement cost plus a $10 restocking fee will apply
Cleaning or repacking fees (see details below)
Intentional damage or vandalism
Damage caused by gross negligence or misuse

4. Cleaning and Repacking Fees

All rental items must be returned clean and properly packed. Cleaning and repacking fees apply to all rentals regardless of RPP purchase, with a minimum fee of $25 per rental. Specifics include:

Dinner service items: Dishware, cutlery, and glassware must be returned in “polish ready” condition, the same condition in which they were rented. Fee: $1 per item, subject to the $25 minimum per rental.
Larger equipment: Food service items, tools, tents, or other bulky equipment: minimum $25 cleaning fee; higher fees may apply for severe situations.
Tables, chairs, stanchions, and similar items: $5 per item after the $25 minimum.
